I'm a high school student working in sports analytics. My projects start with something I notice during games and can't find answers to.

Right now I'm bringing basic analytics to my school's basketball team. Half of the work is the data analysis and the other more important half is translation. A coach in a timeout or a player making a decision at a crossroads has no use for a regression table. So it's my job to present these findings in a digestible format where it becomes beneficial.

I also lead the sports analytics club at my school where I spearhead discussions and teach other students who are interested in sports beyond the box score. It's a place where not only do I teach, but I gain new perspective through the lens of other students. After all, there's a lot I haven't learned yet, which is why I want to grow and share as much of my journey as I can.
